Hanging with Daddy after naps waiting for their friends to arrive on their birthday (Sat., the 24th) for the big PARTY!!!
Grammy made two cakes one chocolate and one white. These are two of Daddy's favorites also. We have learn recently that Sean is our resident sweet lover. He likes chocolate and ice cream. So, he got the chocolate cake.
Mommy did the decorating. Nothing fancy, but it works for a two year old party.
I did Hadley's first - also did not realize I had purchased Cookie Decorating Icing. Oh, well.
Here we are blowing out the candles. I did not even think to talk to them about it before. I don't think either had a clue what we were doing or why. I know I blew out Hadley's for her.
Here is the "play room" before the party got started. We had a great turn out!!
Here are some friends from our neighborhood play group - Roz & A, Karen w/K (Daddy must have B), Sheetal & R, Nisha & S, Paul & T (who have not seen in some time - my how fast we grow!).
This is the kitchen while we were cutting cake!
A full house! We are lucky to have so many wonderful friends (almost all from our neighborhood).
Hadley asked to "Open Presents" just after all the cake got handed out. So, it seems it was the perfect time to get them going. We had a few helpers, but nothing like we will have in a few years!!
Hadley got another Baby doll to go with her growing population. Good thing, because her brother is a good "daddy/uncle". I heard him this morning putting lotion on his babies arms, hands, etc.
He had an excellent role model for the job. We know what an observant sponge he is, so if he retains what he sees from his Daddy - he will be an excellent father, uncle, god-father to others one day.

Soon after presents many began to leave.....and then the wild party started?!
No more monkeys were jumping on the couch. I will have to add one of those pics after Hilary sends me one. I was busy ordering some pizzas for dinner - but, Pat caught this great shot!!
Sean, Shawn, Jordan, Gabriel and Hadley.

And then the pizza arrived and here they are sitting at the picnic table in the kitchen. It was musical plates and Hadley felt she needed to "help" Shawn with her sippy cup, but they did well.

And then the poker game began......
Hadley was determined to join Daddy.
So, Sean joined
Mike on the other side of the table until Mommy pulled them away to put their jammies on.They fought sleep as long as they could, but finally crashed about 9 pm after a very successful, fun and happy day!

Looks like a fun day was had by all!
Sean doesn't have a good poker face! Looks like a good time had by all. Congrats on surviving the first two years as a mom. It keeps getting better and better.
Looks like a really fun party. Where did you get their "I'm 2" shirts?
