Not that we don't need it nor are we opposed to the much cooler temps, but it has been raining quite a bit the last several days. So, here is Hadley on Monday finding an indoor slide since she can't go outside. This is from a train set. Needless to say - she has no concept of size and dimensions yet!
She was nice enough to wait in line while giving her brother a turn!
Tuesday we went and met Da
ddy and Tim for lunch. We got poured on trying to leave the restaurant. Then closer to home it was not raining, so we stopped at Walgreen's to find some indoor activities to keep us busy.Hadley got a Sesame Street Coloring book that she would not let go of to pay for it or to get in her car seat. She promptly came straight inside the house and sat down at the picnic table. Her she is coloring!
Sean however spotted the mower, which we got from Jared & Jen, but just opened on Sunday. He plays with it EVERY chance he gets. We have had many meltdowns over this toy!
So, he opted to stay outside and push it all over the wet grass. Check out his new school shoes. He is quite proud of them and did not want to take them off when we did go inside.
Hadley did decide to grace us with her presence outside and of course with her crayons in tow. Check out her cool Nike shoes! Compliments of her cousins. I think she looks too cute!
Once we all made it inside they both sat down to color for a bit. Did very nicely coloring on the pages. A few marks on the table, but not intentional. A few made it on the wall also, but only because he was trying to get down with colors in his hand. We only get out four colors at a time and put them away as soon as we start to roam. They were coloring again yesterday afternoon and this morning......only for about 10 minutes or two pages! Yesterday Sean walked his lawn mower around two corners following me pulling Hadley in the wagon. We went to deliver some goulash to our friends who had a baby boy two weeks ago. I ended up having to put him and the mower in the wagon to get home, but maybe it was because he was too busy stopping to wave at everyone! What a politician?!
