Instead he found a major leak in our dining room and the majority of our downstairs with about two inches of water in it.
He turned off the water and ran back upstairs to wake me.
I backed out the cars and we started moving anything and everything to the garage.
Jared & Jen and their four kids were visiting, so went back up to wake Jared to help for the kids began waking up.

The carpet got pulled out of the LR/DR that day. We have been really lucky and not had any real major damage.
Our neighbors were great life savers and had us over Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as needed to keep us out of the house, fed, bathed and entertained.

So, now you know why I am behind AGAIN! We did get some funds from the claim already. Contractor coming Monday to start fixing drywall, painting, baseboards, etc. Carpet has been ordered, but probably won't be installed for another two weeks. They will be here any minute to measure for it. So much fun, but could be so much worse - we are very thankful it was not!
