Our Florida Vacation '09 - #3

Wednesday Pat played golf with the guys in the AM. The kids got to bed late every night, so nap time was never much of a problem. They went down with plans to go out swimming after, but our only rain shower of the trip (to speak of) came about 3 pm and sent us inside for the afternoon.
This was after most people had gone inside, but we stayed out to enjoy the cool weather!

So, we just showered up and had dinner an hour earlier than initially planned. All 37 of us at the Scaletty condo for Italian night. Most watched the replay of the 2008 KU Basketball Championship game, but then it was a fun and interesting night of crab hunting! Hadley really enjoyed and got into it. Sean was tired and really did not like the idea of sharing his flashlight. So, when I said do we need to go to the condo? He said yes. I hear that after we went up Hadley caught three crabs and named them "Dave and Dave's friends". I think we had 9 adults and 9 kids on the hunt (guess I should look at the pictures to remind me).

Thursday was my nephew, Blake's 10th birthday. So, we loaded up my nieces & Blake and Ryan, Kelly, Pat and I took all six to The Track (or the Road as Sean kept calling it) for go cart, train, bumper boat and other rides. Unfortunately, Blake got a bad headache not long after we arrived so he and Kelly ended up going back to the condo, but the rest of us stayed to use up our tickets. It was 1/2 price before noon.

We had lunch at Wendy's as we were all tired and hungry when we left at 1pm and our kids fell asleep in the car on the way home. Pat and I got dressed and headed to the beach to go parasailing with Gentry and Al. We had a 3:15 appointment. We moved the sleeping beauties to Grandma's room since Kelly was in there with Blake sleeping off his headache. We really enjoyed it. It was so peaceful floating up above everything. Not scary at all. They pulled us in front of our condos, so the whole family got to see us and holler at us.

That night we had a pizza party and cake for Blake. The condos have some picnic tables by the playground with shuffleboard and basketball courts. I asked a man who was using the grills to take a group picture (minus two who had to go home on Wednesday for a new job).
