Well, Monday June 1st I thought might be a good day to "start" potty training. Daddy was out of town, we had a low key couple of days, first of summer, first of a month, first of the week, etc. you get the point.
Over the weekend we talked about it. A few times Hadley even potty in the toilet (she can always go). We went through underwear and picked out a pair to wear on Monday morning.
Sean initially said he did not want to wear underwear. I said okay you don't have to if you don't want and decided I would just start with H and see what happened. But, before bed Sunday night he saw her panties laid out for the next day and wanted to know where his were. So, we went through the same process with his. But, he SLEPT with his in his hand that night!
Monday morning arrives and he shows up in my bedroom - underwear in hand. Hadley not far behind, but hers were still laid out. So, both get a turn sitting on the potty, but nothing happens (already done in their diapers as usual).
We put on big underwear and talk about having to go and telling Mommy, etc. before we get downstairs Sean pees in his at the top of the stairs. We do down for breakfast and less than five minutes before I am going to ask Hadley if she needs to go (I had the timer set) and before 8 am Hadley pees in hers (Sean made sure to tell me).
Needless to say we put diapers back on and decided we are not "ready" yet. Stay tuned and enjoy your laugh for the day!
