Stomach bug

Our neighborhood has been busy with one year old birthday parties and passing around a stomach bug. For two weeks now a virus has been going around. It started as a runny nose & cough. We picked it up first, but then it became a throwing up bug. I thought we were in the clear, because everyone else has had that part of it (even a couple Daddy's) but not us UNTIL last night.

Here is Shawn at her party last Saturday not at all interested in performing for her crowd. It was her party - she could cry if she wanted to! She found out the day before that she is going to have a little sister! Congrats to her family.
Since she did not want to eat her cake - her Daddy put it on the ground and made it a free for all the other kids!
The under two crowd did not have a chance at stealing a bite, but we all enjoyed watching the older kids go at it.

Here they are coming up for air and now you can see how much is left of the cake.

There were lots of fun things to do in Shawn's back yard. Here is our Sean going down the big water slide with Troy's Daddy.

Meanwhile, Hadley was showing off in the baby pool. She looked to be having so much fun Gabriel talked his parents in to letting him get in with her in his clothes!

She was having so much fun and so relaxed she even was lounging around in the water. Guess the depth was just right for her!

She still loves to eat off any one's plate or out of any one's drink! Maybe that is how we got the bug?

There was also a big blow up jumping thing for
the younger kids, but big enough anyone could get in it. Here is Sean going down the back side of the slide.

Here is Hadley and her Daddy hanging out with the big snail.
After this birthday party last week several more ended up with the bug, but we only had the runny nose. Sean is also cutting two teeth, so I wasn't sure how much was a cold and how much was from teething. I hope we did not take it to everyone at school this week.

Daddy & Hadley.

Both kids are back down napping (at 11am - takes a while from opening a post to actually posting it!).
Both ate a good breakfast this morning. Hadley was allowed milk, but Sean was not even though he asked for it.
For a sick little boy- he is still laughing and happy even at 3am when he wasn't getting sick.
Daddy and Sean. Had to get one of them too! Hopefully this 24 hour bug will hurry up and hit us all or stop at Sean and leave the rest of us alone. Either way we are probably going to have to miss one or both of the one year old birthday parties tomorrow. We will lay low and hang at home watching and waiting for Hurricane Ike to come visit.
