Maddie (my step-niece) hanging out with Hadley.
Grace (our god-daughter & one of the triplets) with her "Ellie"
We left our house at 3pm on Friday and arrived at Papa and Nanny's (my dad's) at 10pm. The babies were great in the car. They slept for three hours, then ate and played for awhile and went back to sleep just for a bit before we arrived.
Saturday the guys played golf in the morning. By 2pm the place was jumping and full of people. We had 14 kids - all 10 and under. We had a Mexican fiesta complete with a pinata and all! It was a good time. I think Pat took a few pictures - I will need to check the camera. We usually call this get together Mullinaxfest. We have been doing this for 19 years now.
Sunday we got up and drove into Lamar to say good bye to my Mom and Dave who also came down to join us, but were headed back to KC. Then we headed over to Parsons (my home town) for brunch at my cousin, Brad & Melissa's new beautiful home. Again, as usually the food was delicious. Most headed home after that, but as I mentioned before we got Melissa to take us on location for a photo shoot. Then after a little more visiting we headed back to Dad's.
Monday we got up and around - after breakfast, showers and baths we loaded up the car and headed out about 10:30 am. We got gas before leaving town and only stopped once more about 2:30pm to eat, burp, change diapers, use the restroom and were back on the road and home by about 5pm. Their feeding schedule was off all day, but we all were able to manage.
It was a nice weekend. Good to see everyone. Got lots of compliments on our beautiful children and they were troopers through it all. I hear my nieces cried leaving town as they didn't want to leave them. Blake (8yrs old) also gave me more than one hug (wow) and told me he didn't want us to leave. I could not believe how big my cousins kids have gotten. Since we did not get to go home for Christmas last year I had not seen them in awhile and WOW!
Sean has always had a sleep positioner to keep him on his back or was not rolling over when he didn't have it, but this weekend he rolled to sleep on his belly a few times in the pack n play. Now that we are home the sleep positioner does not stop him - so, we took it out yesterday. Hadley rolled from her back to her belly for the first time yesterday. Now we are just back in our groove and glad to be home.
