Saturday morning Sean's first soccer game was scheduled for 11 am, so we got there 30 minutes early. Here he is fully dressed and ready to go after we picked up his jersey and shorts and got him all changed.

Hadley found this spot to work on her Color Wonder Art at practice a few days before, so she set up her camp and got down to business.
Sean is number 7 (choices were 1 - 8) - which he picked himself. He did not select the color, but his favorite color is green (so is mine), so we were happy to be green & black.
The team name is Sarah's Sea Biscuits - not sure I can explain the name, but the coach's son picked it.
Then is was time to warm up!!Stretches, push up's and jumping jacks! All quite interesting to watch.

The games last 45 minutes and have three quarters.
The game before was over, so they headed to their "bench".
Here they are all lined up on the bench waiting to go out on the field.
There are 4 boys and 4 girls on the team.
Sean is the youngest one on his team.

Sean was a starter - he was out on the line when the ball dropped and the whistle blew, but he just stood there and did not know what to do.
So, we started hollering at him from the
sideline.......and he started crying! So, I pulled him off the field to find out what was wrong.
He then would NOT go back on the field except for one time for about 5 minutes, but Daddy had to go with him (Daddy is not one of the coaches).

This is how we spent most of the game - on the side with Dad - watching.
All four boys cried and did not want to play, but the girls went out and kicked some major BUTT!
Hopefully next week will be better. We both worried we might have issues getting him OFF the field, but never thought getting ON would be a problem?!
