3/27/10 First Trip to the Circus

We had front row seats at the Hella Shriners Circus on Saturday, March 27th.

Here is Daddy, Sean and Hadley patiently waiting for the show to begin.

One of the first acts were the tigers - Rage in the Cage and look they were jumping thru fire!

Here is King Bo walking on his drum.

We was quite the entertainer.

Lloyd's Old English Sheepdogs were quite interesting.

We all liked their show.

She was called The Beautiful Elaine Kramer - I do not know how beautiful she was or is, but she was quite a contortionist!

Here is just one of the many things she showed us that she can do.

The Wheel of Destiny.....

they rode their whirling steel monster.

Inside and outside the wheel and yes, he looks like he is falling off cause he did almost a few times. Pat thinks it was for show - I think it was a tough performance.

Sean enjoyed the jugglers.

They were in all three rings juggling many different things.

The entire show was well over two hours.

But, this was Sean's FAVORITE - the motorcycle in the air.

Hadley's favorite was the girls (aerialist) spinning by their heads/necks!

This was cool all the elephants up on each other with girls on their backs!

Our seats were in front of the center circle.

Before, at intermission and after the show there were pony rides, elephant rides, face painting, bounce house, picture with a snake and possibly something I am forgetting all for some extra pretty Pennies!

Since this was our first big event we were able to avoid the extras and keep them distracted with the movement and action with a little popcorn and water added in.

Afterward we went out for pizza and then on to ice cream!
Great evening!
Most parents do not wish or hope for the children to go off and "join the circus", but I am sure glad that someone's kids do as we really enjoyed the entire show!
