Dance Recital Still Shots

I know Pat already posted the video, but there was a little more to the show than just their performance.

Here is the entire group getting their "awards". Every participant receives a certificate. First, second and third year performers get medals. Fifth, Seventh and Tenth get trophies.

Here is a zoom in on just them on the front row.

Hadley was telling everyone to "shh" and then went to hold the hand of the girl next to her. It was pretty cute.

This was all at the beginning of the show.

Our kids did not understand that they were to step forward and get their certificates and medals when their names were called, so they had to bring them to them.

Hadley immediately put her certificate up to her face as if she was reading it. So, Ms. Kathy made a comment about it and made everyone laugh.

We thought the little pig dance was a riot and just so cute. We actually still try to sing it and do it ourselves almost every day. Even though we don't even know it!

Maybe they will learn it next year!

We did not participate in the other number with our class (saved money on costumes), but we watched and did the steps and sang with them in the audience. Here are Angel (Ms. Kathy's granddaughter who was in every class with us), Katherine and Ally doing the Red Balloon Dance.

You may not have been able to tell in the video, but after every "tumble" they would go in front and do a bow. Here is Sean's.

And here is Hadley's. They are very good at this move!

Sean's back flip.

And Hadley's. We did really enjoy dance. No decision yet if we will do it again in the Fall. They still put on their ballet slippers from time to time and perform for us.

Enjoy and next time you see them - ask them to show you their moves!
