Dance Class

Today was the first day of dance class. Every Thursday from 5:30 to 6pm at the Rec Center.

So, while they were at school I went shoe shopping. After school they went back with me to try them on.

But, there was carpet at the store - so, they did not realize the tap shoes make noise!!!

See Sean is "tap dancing".
Hadley wanted to know why her ballet slippers didn't make noise?

When I told them they were doing to dance class tonight - Sean said "Baby Bop?" as he has seen her in her tutu on Barney!

As we knew - Sean is the only boy in the class, but he is the biggest ham. They are going around the room ringing their bells and marching.

Sean is of course looking at himself in the mirror.

This was not part of class today. Just the way Hadley passed the time while waiting for the music to start.

Boy, does she have some strong upper body strength. Wish I had some of that!

Here they are with the class, Ms. Kathy, the teacher and her granddaughter and helper, Angel. Either putting away are getting out the scarfs or bells or tambourines or something.

Angel was a big help. She got them to all come in and sit down and was showing them how to stretch.

Then she would lead the lines, so they would know where to go and what to do.

It is a Mommy & Me class, so the parents participate also for now.

Apparently, once they learn the moves we will do less and less (I hope, since I have two).

Here is Mr. Sean showing off his moves.
That is Hadley's arm with the orange scarf.

I think they did really really well today and both seem to really like it. It was a little crazy keeping them (my kids) in check with none of us knowing the ropes yet.

Right now there are five total in the class.

Patiently waiting for the next instruction.

Here is the entire class - Candace (our neighbor) & Caitlin who can only see her feet, Aly & her Mom, another girl & her mom (forgot her name) and us.

Stayed for more adventures in Dance Class!
