Visit to PA for Thanksgiving

We had great luck on the way to PA as our entire airplane only had two or three empty seats and we were luck enough to be in two rows with one extra seat each. So, we paid for two seats and got to enjoy four. Both kids were great and slept a good part of the trip.

We left home at 6:15 am on Tuesday and were at Grammy & Pop's by 2:30 pm. We stopped for some lunch at McDonald's. We had the farthest to travel, but were the first to arrive (also the only ones to fly).

It was snowing when we arrived and on our 1.5 hour drive to the house, but not too bad at all.

So, as you can see we got to enjoy some fun time in the snow on Wednesday.

Here is Sean sledding by himself.
He looks like the Michelin man in his coat. He did not care for snow on his gloves when we tried to make a snowman and threw snowballs at each other.

Here is Hadley sledding by herself. She has snow pants, so she looks like a sumo wrestler.

Here is Pat sledding by himself. He had fun too and looked like a hunter in his Dad's hat. We brought what we had/could with us, but had to borrow a few things to be able to enjoy the snow.

The kids has a great time hanging out with their older cousins (inside and out).
Mommy really enjoyed it too!!

Unfortunately, I did not get a single picture of Nathan. Maybe Peggy with update her blog soon! ;)

Here is Kelli sledding by herself. I thought I picked the picture where she made a face at me, but I guess not.

Kaila took Sean for another sled ride. They went pretty far by themselves, but with the cousins extra weight they went much farther!

Eddie took Hadley for a spin.

But, once they went farther - they had walk back up!

This is all between Grammy & Pop's house and their neighbors. So, this is their back yard.

That is Pop's snow covered truck down at the bottom.

Here they are all warm and in dry clothes - wishing/dreaming about going back outside to play in the snow some more.

I thought this was a cute picture that Kaila snapped of Hadley. I am not sure what she is so happy about, but I think they were saying "Ready, Set GO!".

And so of course a shot of Sean by himself - entertaining.

Here is our family on Thanksgiving Day at the dinner table (Pat & I are forever at the "kids table" - Kaila and Nathan even got promoted up this year!). We had the usual suspects for dinner, but were missing some/many family members for various reasons.

Unfortunately, I sat down and ate and forgot all about taking any more pictures?! Everything was yummy as usual. Especially the waffles and turkey gravy on Friday night!!

On Saturday, our flight out was at 5 pm. We needed to leave the house about 1:30 pm, which is usually during nap time. So, after lunch Grammy sat down to read them some books while Pat and I made sure we had everything packed up and they both crashed out. This is just too sweet. Grammy enjoyed this time with them.

The trip home went very well also. We had a full flight, so no extra seats. But, they both slept most of the way. We let them wear themselves out at the play area, they pooped (yeah, better than on the plane) and ate some dinner. Also, they are like their Mommy - just sit me on a plane and I can fall asleep.

As I think I already mentioned we came home and got busy getting ready for Christmas. We are almost finished.

Check back for updates on this week! My it's hard to keep up. Especially when I have two monkeys trying to crawl in my chair/lap NON STOP! Sean is in my chair now and I have turned them both away more times than I can count. Not to mention I started this at 10 something am!!
Enjoy!
