Popsicles

Monday was another hot, but beautiful day in Texas. So, while the kiddos slept we straightened up and put things away from the party the day before. Neither of us put any sunscreen on initially, so we each have a few red sore spots today.

After the kiddos woke up they came out side to join us enjoying our cement pond. They both love dive sticks.

So, then we broke out the Popsicles! This was a first for them, but they both did very well. I found "mini" ones at the store and decided that might be best to start with.

Hadley has EIGHT swimming suits! Yes, that's right. So, watch and see if by the end of summer you have seen them all (this is number 3). I only bought one on clearance last winter before I knew how many hand me downs and gifts she was going to receive. A couple she needs to grow into and a couple she will grow out of soon. But, as you can see - she is beautiful in them all especially with her hat on!!! Still not a big fan of the pool, but will keep warming up to it.

I liked this shot, because Daddy is in the background eating his with them. Sean looks pretty handsome in his Maui hat!! They both do fairly well at keeping their hats on too. I am happy about that. I am worried about their little heads burning as well as their little feet on the cement. Not to mention the slipping and sliding on the concrete. It's all going to happen and some of it has already - just gotta keep an eye or two on it!

Look at me. He takes to the water like a fish. He is going to be a natural! We start swim lessons on the 9th - can't wait to see what all he will soak up! We let him step off the step a time or two yesterday trying to show him or teach him what will happen. He would start kicking and swimming to bring himself up. Obviously, he can't yet, so Daddy did - but, he was not upset or scared - just smiled and wanted to keep going!!

I thought this was too cute. Her Popsicle drool matches her swimsuit. But, boy does she need her bangs cut!

This morning I found her in bed with only her diaper on after her nap. She stripped off her jammies. Not sure how much she slept, but she was quite most of the time (she is up there screaming now, because she is tired and does not want to go to sleep - Sean already gave in).

We went for a walk after dinner and she was waving like she was in a parade as we were coming down the street. At no one, but she is ready for when she is the princess in the parade!

We stayed in all day as it was gloomy and rainy. We got at least an inch of rain. Daddy is outside playing basketball with the neighborhood boys. I am going to go sit in a chair and read my new good book and enjoy the cool wave that came thru, because it won't last long!
