A tradition in some families - including the Keenen's is to put your shoe(s) in the window seal the night before Saint Nicholas Day (12/6) in hopes that he will come by and fill them. Here are Sean and Hadley's shoes and them finding them full of candy yesterday morning.
We decided since their shoes are so small it was okay to put out both instead of just one (since Daddy told me too late that he only remembers being allowed to put out one shoe - guess the bigger they get they harder they are to fill).
We also had Tom, Tina and their mother, Maureen over for our annual holiday dinner, ornament making and gift exchange. We intended to start some traditions with them, but the ones that stuck so far (last year's hospital stay didn't help) are dinner, stockings and making ornaments (and of course presents).
Unfortunately, we do not get to see them too often any more. We were busy and now that we are in the swing of things with babies they are teenagers with jobs and church activities that fill their weekend. But, their mom does a great job keeping us in the loop and up to date.

i have decided that instead of calling the twins "Sean and Hadley" i combined their names and came up with Seanley. which is 2 less syllables to say!
