Rain Rain go away

Well we made it safe and sound, in one piece and with Mommy's sanity intact. We left at 9am on the dot and made it to Dad's right at 4pm. Only a couple stops - we did great at lunch all three of us ate, burped, changed diapers and made it back on the road in about 40 minutes. Up until the lunch stop they slept. After that - not so much. Hadley cried more than she did anything and she got her brother going a time or two, but the minute we hit Papa's street they were silent!

Sean figured out how to maneuver himself up the one step from the family room to the dining room very quickly and easily. He did not realize that he could fall back off it or how to get back down it. He made himself at home and roamed around to check out the entire place. He also helped Mommy eat her grilled cheese sandwich for dinner. Hadley was just glad to be out of her seat and a very happy camper playing on the floor. By 8pm Sean was ready for bed.

On Friday morning Papa Rusty made his well known Mickey Mouse pancakes for Sean & Hadley's breakfast. I took pictures I will load them later (maybe from Jen's on Tuesday). Then we loaded up and headed on to KC. We had a busy afternoon and evening, but had a very nice surprise last night and my sister Gentry came in from Seattle! She just decided last week after she found out I was coming and was able to work it out and told NO ONE except Angie who picked her up at the airport. We are all glad she is here for a visit.

Unfortunately, today it is raining cats and dogs. Started at 2:30 am, so has been going on for almost 12 hours. Not sure there is an end in site. We are not used to wearing long pants, long sleeves and socks! Several are over at the KU game which has been delayed. Carly's softball tournament is on hold and possibly cancelled. The babies are taking a long hard nap right now, so I decided to make a quick post before I forgot what I wanted to tell you about the last couple days. So far so good - but we do miss Daddy! Love you!
