Keenen Twins

Sean & Hadley's first family vacation, road trip, nights away from home and many many more things. But, they are such good little troopers everything went well! I already posted about our ride there thru Wednesday morning on the old site, so will try not to repeat.

Wednesday after I posted Sean was on the floor playing and Aunt Regan helped him scoot across the floor. Once he got the hang of it - he was doing it himself. Daddy still hasn't seen him, but others have!!

After Pat got back from golf we all got on our suits and sunscreened up and headed for the pool. Aunt Jan brought a boat for them to float in, so Hadley got in the boat with Beth for a bit. But, then she fell asleep with in minutes while hanging out with Aunt Gentry and cousin Kate. I have decided that if I want Hadley to go to sleep I just need to get her outside and show her the sun - because it seems to make her close her eyes and therefore - sleep!

We put Sean in his fire truck float and he too fell asleep quite quickly. So, we turned the boat float into a bed! Everyone walked by and said "Oh, how cute". That evening we had dinner in Grandma and Papa's condo.

Thursday we decided it was time to hit the beach. Daddy went out and set up their sun shade tent and we made it out before lunch. So, we packed our lunch and headed out for the day. See pictures below for napping in the tent. That evening all 38 of us went to a Seafood Buffet. I will post the family picture next. Getting some professional help to edit it! ;)

Friday - my friend Kendra from Birmingham and a friend of hers came down to spend the day with us. We went to the pool for a bit. Then all had gone to the beach and our little ones were out again, so we dragged them in their little boat down to the beach. We never had a hard time finding someone to hold them - even at the beach. Cousin Angie brought her friend Tomi who offered to hold a baby any time! She and Sean sat in sand letting the water come up to them while we went out in the water. I had to get a q-tip and baby oil to get the sand out of Sean's belly button after his shower that night! lol

We then took Sean and Hadley up to Grandma, Papa, Ryan, Kelly, Gentry's....room and they stayed with them for the evening while we went out to dinner with Kendra and Shane for her 40th birthday! We had a great time and it was good to get out! The little ones were exhausted. Kelly said the went to sleep about 8:30pm and we had to arouse them to eat at 11 pm when we got back!

Saturday was a hot, humid (as they all were) and busy day! We got the car loaded said lots of goodbye's and hit the road by 10 am. We had a good trip home. There were a few times the natives got restless. They were tired and just didn't understand why we could all look at them and talk to them, but no one was getting them out to hold them!! I sat between them to calm them down, but then stayed there to play Phase 10 with Gentry and Al. That made the trip go by quickly for us! We were home by 11:30pm and even stopped for an hour for dinner!
